

SHUSH hearing protection has been tested by PZT GmbH, Bismarckstrasse 264B, 26389 Wilhelmshaven, Germany (notified body number: 1974) according to the following standards: EN 352-2:2020 (Europe), ANSI S3.19-1974 (USA), CSA Z94.2-02 (Canada) and AS/NZS 1270:2002 (Australia / New Zealand). SHUSH earplugs are certified according to the European regulation on personal protection equipment (EU) 2016/425 PPE. Annual product control according to module C2 is conducted by PZT.

The European Regulation on personal protective equipment (EU) 2016/425 PPE took effect on April 20, 2016 and is officially enforced since April 2018. Hearing protection is categorised in the higest risk category (category 3) because noise induced hearing damage is irreversible. Safety & health officers are obligated to make sure that hearing protection is used by their employees to comply with Regulation (EU)2016/425. European standards have high status globally for being effective in setting performance levels and are used in many countries where they do not have their own product standards. Shush has been tested according to the latest standard EN 352-2:2020.
